Pumpkin Carving

Saturday we had friends join us to carve pumpkins. Abbott was completely independent this year with scooping out the innards and carving!

Not at all but that is probably because I am Dutch and we don't celbrate it. My children are hard at work to make their lanterns for Sint Maarten. Our anual get candy form the neighbours day! Thanks for the comment on my blog. Alweays a lot of fun to welcome someone new!

They turned out great! Smart idea to carve them outside. We always lay newspapers down and carve on the kitchen table. I don't think we could do ours outside because our beagle wouldn't leave us alone long enough to do it though!!!

This looks like fun! Both boys are great pumpkin carvers too. I can't believe Halloween is here already.
Have a good day my friend!

Great pumpkins and fun family activity! Mijk's comment reminded me I have to distribute cookies to our neighbor children EARLY because Ron and I will be at a party on Halloween!

Thanks everyone for commenting! So interesting to find out that the Dutch and the Spanish don't celebrate Halloween - thank you RID and Mijk for sharing.
