"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts." Rachel Carson, as cited in Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv
We had a busy weekend. Alexi had to work, and it was late Sunday afternoon before we got to spend time together as a family. Abbott was cranky and tearful from being tired and scraped up from falling off his bike. Cal was recovering from being sick. I was sick. Alexi was exhausted from a weekend of call. Yet after 30 minutes at the beach, we walked home new people; happy and relaxed and energized.

Lecia, Sounds like the perfect medicine- spending family time together and a touch of nature. I love it!
I hope you will feel better soon!
Hugs...
The pictures are amazing! I like them

Isn't it true? Fresh salt air and a walk, I think that people in the last century called that a "cure."
I LOVE the pics! Is he using a filter or a certain lense?
It must be the app. I can't figure it out, but the sky and then the figures on the beach resemble some type of beautiful dream sequence.
I can almost smell the fresh sea air in your pictures!
My own nature curative is at a local park. It's not near as wild and free, but there is a lake and trees and open sky.
Lecia what gorgeous photos. I agree a nice walk is cheerful pick me up. Hard to motivate to get out the door but once out, no distractions, lovely scenery, conversation. Thanks as always.
Before it snows and after the busy season is my favorite time to go to the beach. It is so pretty and tranquil. I love your photos.

So beautiful! I wish I lived on the beach!!!
thanks for your comment today !!!
hey - I just have to say this - your comment form is kind of difficult - what's with it? it wouldn't accept my name for three trys. I afraid you will lose comments from others not so diligent!!
I've been having the same problem as Joni! And I love these beach pictures.
Oh, what beautiful pictures! I'm glad you all were able to find some peace at the end of a hectic weekend...
Alexi here: preppyplayer asked about filters or lens. I was using a polarizing filter for the images taken with the 24-105 mm lens. I think most of the 'effect' of this images is from adjusting the exposure compensation down, so as to better expose the sky. HTH.
Your photos are unbelievable. Gorgeous!
Wow! those pictures are gorgeous!!!!
Wonderful landscape!!!
