Barefoot Contessa's Easy Sticky Buns

For your weekend, Barefoot Contessa's Easy Sticky Buns. We first made these during our snowstorm in December, when friend and fellow blogger Sherri posted the recipe. This is the perfect recipe to make with children as it involves fun, hands-on work like spreading butter and sprinkling sugar and cinnamon. Cal did all of the work, aside from the slicing.

Eyore was our assistant.

Delicious!

Oh what a morning~ I am thinking breakfasts in your house are about as good as it gets. These look dangerous but soooo good.
I love that your boys like to get right in the kitchen and help. Some lucky gal will thank you one day!

You know lecia, today was the day I was going to do some sort of fasting/cleanse. The pics of those delicious looking rolls have put the kabosh on that!

oh. my. yes, please! You definitely scored a link for my weekend post, lecia, and my kids will be thrilled since they'll get to help with the making.
thank you, and happy weekend!

(p.s. you're not getting flooded are you?)

those look SO yummy... i'm thinking it won't be THIS weekend though as i don't have that stuff on hand and i really do not want to go back out in the frozen tundra here.

thanks for the encouragement about the mess. it is amazing to me how quickly things spiral out of control! but i also realize, as frustrating as it often is, that none of it really matters. plus, i figure if i don't clean too much, my kids will have healthier immune systems!! see... i KNEW i had a good reason :-) happy weekend to you

Wow, Lecia! I have got to make these...how fun. Ina Garten is the best, isn't she? I wish she was my aunt and I could come over and help her in the kitchen - she is so likable and adorable. Her show always makes me feel good.

Lecia look so yummy and love that the boys can help. Want to make so bad don't know if I can find the puff pastry here in Bremen Germany but I'm looking for sure. Great pictures!

I was relieved to scroll down and see that the sheet of dough Cal was rolling out was NOT home-made raviolis.

Oh gosh, Yummy, and Cal looks like a serious baker too! But I have eaten soooo many honey balls I can't think of more sweets for a while :)

Enjoy - and let me know if you try them!

Cate: thanks! We're not flooded; thanks for asking.

Susie you are FAR more likely to be doing something like homemade ravioli than I am...

Lina: thank you for visiting! I love your Flickr photostream and am glad to discover that you also have a blog.
