One thing I love about my husband is how research oriented he is. He decided to get me a waffle maker for Christmas, and after much investigating decided on
this beautiful commercial grade model. He also extensively researched Belgian waffle recipes and made sure we had ingredients in the house to make
the best possible Belgian waffles for Christmas. Sadly, the waffle iron did not arrive in time for Christmas morning breakfast. Two weeks after placing the order he received an email saying it was backordered. He re-ordered it from another company and it was scheduled to be delivered December 22; UPS/FedEx/USPS didn't deliver to our house for a full week due to snow conditions. It is now, finally, in our kitchen and has been put to good use! I made waffles this morning while Alexi was at work (on call); he, sadly, has still not had a chance to try one.

Those look yummy. One of my favorites. Last June, we were in Brussels and we ate them with fresh whipped cream and chocolate. I adore them plain or with masses of powdered sugar.
You can freeze them too for snacks.
Lovely gift and I do appreciate a "resourceful" type!
Kudo's to Alexi!
Those waffles look very yummy. How thoughtful to make sure that all the ingredients were in the house.

I love warm waffles! Call me when you make the next batch!Your last photo made me hungry. Hugs...
You are going to love the waffle maker....I really like to add about 3 heaping tablespoons of canned pumpkin to the batter...I like to think that it makes them healthier.
OMG...I'm coming over.
;-)
