tiny, tiny baby hermit crab held by AbbottIt is 8:30am New Years Day, and we are beginning to dismantle our Christmas tree. The holidays are now over, fun as they were, and we're ready to move on to the cleaning and organizing that January brings. I think I love that process almost as much as the holidays themselves.
I also love the reflection that a New Year brings. 2008 was a year of many things for us: moving into this house, Abbott's first lost teeth, Abbott and Cal's first trip out of the country, the loss of Alexi's Grandmother Wilhelmina and our cat Piper. But the big surprise has been this blog. I started blogging in June, and had no idea of the impact it would have on me, and how I would grow to love it so much. So, thank you again for reading, commenting, and sharing with me.
I'm not a resolution maker, but thought I'd share a few goals.
Take better and more photographs. With Alexi's help, I think I can do this. With this one comes conquering my fear of the technical.Try something new. Even if it's frustrating, difficult, and uncomfortable. I'm thinking about taking up yoga.
Make more effort to be in touch with family who are far away.
What are your hopes and dreams for 2009?
