If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one. Mother Teresa
April 1, bloggers are getting together for a very worthwhile cause: fighting hunger. Times are tougher than ever. Unemployment and underemployment have devastated our country, and charitable contributions are dwindling.
Please give to your local food bank. This link can help you find a food bank in your community. For those of you in the Seattle area, my family supports Community Lunch on Capitol Hill; please consider donating to this most worthy cause.
Another option is to make a direct contribution to Feeding America through their secure website. Even as little as $1 will provide 10 pounds of food and grocery items.
Many thanks to Meg from Pigtown Design and Chris from Easy and Elegant Life for coordinating April Food Day.

Will be sure to donate today to our Food Bank. Thanks Lecia for helping get this important message out. I had not heard of this until I read your, Debra's and Joyce's blogs. xoxoxo
I hadn't heard about this before. I have a button on my site to click each day and give food to the hungry. This is another step in the right direction. Thanks!
Lecia,
I could see you being a top "photographer" for one of these worthy causes. Your photos always say so much. Thanks for being a "fighting force" to get behind "April Food Day" -

It's so important. Wonderful quote. Thanks. Love the bread.
Lecia -- Thank you so much for this reminder. Your blog does so much good!
Thank you for posting April Food Day. You have made a difference.
What a beautiful blog. You've got quite an eye, yourself.
Thanks Lecia for bringing attention to hunger and thanks for mentioning the Community Lunch on Capitol HIll. We've been feeding a lot of people lately - often 200 people at every meal. There are a lot of hungry people in Seattle right now.
Thank you so much for posting!
thank you for the reminder!

I was "googling" a picture of a "giant pile of laundry" and God must have decided to show me how much He loves me because I got your blog...even though I have yet to see any giant piles of laundry.
It's beautiful. My family is in Kitsap County, my husband is stationed here with the Navy, so I snooped all over your blog when I saw familiar sights.
Your photography is beautiful as well as your writing. Thank you for such a treat today!
(don't ask why I was googling "giant piles of laundry when I could have easily taken a picture of one right here on my very own couch...haha)
((sigh)) Back to work.
~Thanks again.
