I am so grateful for the way this blog has changed what
I photograph. Before blogging, I wasn't as consistent in documenting the small details of our lives...now there are lots of photos like the ones above. Years from now, many of the things that happen each day will be erased from my memory. Those many little things I think I could never possibly forget, but then I naturally just will. I'm so glad I have these to jog my memory about the mundane snippets of my boys' childhood that are precious in my mind.

your memory post is so true ...
I feel the same ...
You have an eye for photography, and most of all, you have the cutest little boys.
And we are so grateful that you share these special moments with us.
From a gal that doesn't have children I really enjoy the moments you share. They warm my heart. I love watching my nieces and nephews grow and friend's children- It is fun to watch them take on their own. Enjoy! xoxo
That's a subject I actually think about a lot. I'm going to have to come up with a way to document my own family's little moments!
What a wonderful perspective!
Lecia,
Wow! Your photos are fabulous. Have you studied photography? You could enter these into a contest and win a prize. Your children will truly appreciate these later on in life.
Hugs,
Paula
Thank you for your "welcome back" and good wishes.XXOO
So true, it's one of the reasons I love bloggin. I hope to print my blog out by year and keep it for my little guy to see. Great pictures, by the way! Love the shots of the city in the background. I've just found out I'm traveling to Seattle in June and would love to meet you if you're up for it!
That's how I feel too, about taking pictures and blogging. Now I just gotta find a way to keep all of the pictures well organized!
blogging is amazing. it has simply changed the way i look at things before i take a picture. i always have been a big one for documenting, but i love how it has helped me capture differently. and with your title, i thought your post was going to be a comment on how much kids our age remember things. tiny details. it is amazing. lovely post. we are off to the park today, too.

I feel the same way about how my blog affects the kind of photos I take, Lecia. Thanks for being so open about your life and sharing all these beautiful photos with us.
And here's to many more years of happy childhood memories. xoxo
that's so great! i know your boys will appreciate all your documentations, too. it's always good to remember...
i feel SO the same way about the photos i take of the "mundane." and, as usual, your photos are lovely! i totally dig (no pun intended) the one of the shovels below and margarita glass......
SO true! Do you do videos of the kids? I am always berating myself for not taking more video. There is nothing like the walking, talking image, but for some reason I don't do it a lot.
Lecia, you are doing a wonderful thing, not only for yourself, but for your boys and all of us lucky onlookers!
I always tell my kids that it is a shame they could not witness themselves as tiny tots. I cherish many memories. My Mom tells me they only intensify as we age. If only she had a blog to tell all "7" of us all her memories. Glad you are here to jog our minds.

You are so right, Lecia. It's those little everyday details that mean so much. Thank you for reminding us of that and for encouraging us to honor those moments in our own lives. You do that so well -- please never stop!
So true.
These are treasures and works of art. I'm so happy that you're sharing it with us.
SO many of those little moments disappear before our eyes, amidst the turmoil! I look back on the early pics, and I miss my babies! xoh
You take such wonderful pictures Lecia, I am sure you will cherish them for many years.
