a perfect day

Thank you all for your concern and good wishes for Abbott yesterday! He woke up with all three loose teeth intact; the front two came out before breakfast. The remaining loose tooth isn't bothering him. Whew - disaster averted.

Alexi and I got to spend the day together at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival while the boys were in school. Times of leisure together like this really help keep the whole thing going. Sometimes they're hard to make happen in the busyness of family life, but they are so worth it for the whole family. It was a perfect day!

I would think I landed in OZ. It's beautiful!!! It's important to find time to keep the trunk of the family tree strong.
Enjoy your day!

Wow. Looks like a delightful afternoon or an afternoon delight! :)
Yes, we all need to take time to smell the flowers and time for one another - administering the oxygen first to yourself first! I am breathing in those glorious photos. I thought I was in Provence!

Gorgeous! I went to a tulip festival when I was little, but I was far, far too young to appreciate it. Your pictures make me want to try again!

Glad Abbott is well. My Gillian would so like to join him in loosing teeth!

Holy cow those tulips are amazing!!! And I am so glad that Abbot's teeth are going to be alright. I can deal with throwing up, tantrums, fevers...but show me loose teeth and I am a bowl of jell-o! Any time I hear about teeth trauma I get all woozy. I am sure you handled it with great aplomb.
