weekend crafting

We're doing a bit of Easter crafting; the terrariums were inspired by this idea I read about yesterday. And we're dyeing eggs - again - the ones that didn't get immediately eaten. (The boys both burned their fingers in their haste to peel and eat one...hard boiled eggs are a favorite food around here. Did I mention we may get a couple of chickens? More on that later.)

See you next week! Have a wonderful weekend!

We have chickens! They're not laying yet, but we love them for the sheer fun they bring.

I don't think we're going to dye eggs this year. I bought some wooden eggs that the kids are painting. That way I don't feel pressured to eat hard boiled eggs at every meal for the next week. :)

Those terrariums are phenomenal! I have to admit I'm pretty jealous of the chickens...I have fantasies of fresh laid eggs in the morning, but my New York apartment won't allow for it.

We just got a chicken and I'm finding its the best thing to make my kids wake up early - they can't wait to get dressed and go downstairs to feed it. No doubt the novelty will soon wear off...
