I hope you had a most enjoyable weekend! It was a perfect, sunny, springlike weekend here. Just right for baking, lots of play time outside, and an outdoor evening at the Mariners. Unfortunately, the weekend ended in a rather dramatic way - three of Abbott's upper front teeth were knocked loose while wrestling at bedtime. The teeth injured are baby teeth, fortunately; we're going tomorrow for xrays.
Some things I'm looking forward to in the week to come:
* a visit to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
* helping with a teacher appreciation lunch at Abbott's school
* book club (Dealing With Disappointment by Elizabeth Crary and Mindset byCarol Dweck - parenting books)
* a luncheon in support of Childhaven
What are you looking forward to this week? Happy Monday, my friends.

I hope Abbott feels better soon.
1. I'm looking forward to hearing from a friend of mine from Santa Cruz, CA.
2. Taking a friend of mine to the MD. It's the ride we enjoy together, going and coming.
I love the way that rhubarb/fruit crostata came out - yummy. I make them w/peaches in the summertime and apples in the fall. Aren't they great? And so easy; a rustic pie.
Hope Abbott is doing Ok. Yum that tart looks good! Looks like you have a fun week ahead of you. Hugs-Jane
sounds like you had a wonderful wknd...outside of the teeth issue, hope all is well....
looking forward to spending time with Spike and a massage this afternoon!

Ouch! Abbott I hope your xrays show only 3 baby teeth loose and soon a visit from the tooth fairy. Lecia sounds like a wonderful weekend (except the wrestling part)with the family and a full week with friends. Enjoy! xoxo
Ooooh... hope all turns out o.k. for Abbott. What a nice weekend you had. Us too! Stop by and see!
I love rhubarb~
Beautiful pics. I'm so glad those were baby teeth. I'm breathing a sigh of relief over here after your tweet. I hope all is well at his appointment.

oh my gosh - you managed to take gorgeous photographs, bake a strawberry rhubarb tart, AND catch a game? you go, girl!!! so glad it wasn't the big teeth!
Talk about extreme measures to get a chance to see the Tooth Fairy! Hope Abbott is feeling better.
Here's my list for the week:
1. Teach Little S how to ride a 2-wheeler using the Phinney method. Done!
2. Enjoy time with my parents when they visit later in the week. Easier said than done.
3. Visit the Seattle Premium Outlets and the bags I really don't need.
Yikes, that wrestling must've been intense to knock 3 teeth loose! LOL
Great pics....have a stellar week!
Wrestlemania at the Phinneys!! Hope all will be well. I love Safeco Field!!
Hope you are feeling okay Abbott? I am looking forward to a veg gardening course that I am going on this week (hopefully can post some photos later this week)
Looks like you had a great weekend, that stadium is enormous and looks like a great family event.
ouch. I hope that Abbott is not in any pain. My son had 3 teeth growing in one spot, which they call a "supernumerary" and he had to have a little surgery for that to remove the 2 so that the one could rise to meet the occasion! It is these things that we as mothers learn to deal with, disappointments as well as many rewards!

Hello Lecia -- so sorry to hear about Abbott! Hope he is doing much better, and sending many warm thoughts.

I'm looking forward to Gillain going back to school...
Thanks everyone - we all appreciate your well wishes!
Sounds as if there are some fun plans for the week ahead.
