There is an anticipatory sense of magic and wonder surrounding the boys right now that I love. We've been talking a lot about Easter. Taking turns hiding eggs for each other. Coloring eggs. Making hot cross buns. And so on. Here's a sneak peek at their Easter baskets (or pails, as they may be). The baskets generally always include a new stuffie (the above Steiff bunny and egg were purchased here), art supplies, seeds, a couple of little trinkets, and Moonstruck Chocolates (I bought these at The Confectionary in the University Village, for those of you in Seattle).
I bought a bunch of finger puppets last summer on Whidbey Island. The store I bought them from has an online store too:
I particularly love these little glass animals, purchased at Retroactive Kids (I got them at the Columbia City store in Seattle; I found that they also have an online store):
And here's the card I bought for Alexi (he gets Moonstruck chocolates too):

Thanks for sharing part of your Easter joy!
Fun stuff I'm sure the boys will love them.Cute card too!
Lecia~ I LOVE that card. Your choices for Easter baskets cover all five of the senses. And that Steiff bunny. I'm off to check out the sites now. Very adorable chocolates too!!!
I really think you have a gift for this sort of thing!
The Easter Bunny has been put to some serious shame.
Great things the Easter bunny left behind!
Yikes! I've got to get moving on our baskets! Ususally Easter is our time for art supplies, so it's a fairly easy process. Hmmm...
ok, could you please make a stop at OUR house, easter bunny? those chocolates are gorgeous...as is the rest of the stash. how inspiring! thanks, lecia!
So sweet. I just brought my easter egg dye. We are no where up to you beautiful level.
That card is so funny!
Ohh I love Easter - and fluffy, cute little animals like you have here!
What is it about Easter that always makes me so incredibly happy? Maybe it's partly because it's a symbol of spring. I am so excited!
That Steiff bunny is sweet as can be. Thanks for giving us all the details! We are sticking to our usual tradition--art supplies, bubble bath, and a big chocolate bunny (of course).
Wow! I'll be lucky to get around to Easter Baskets on Good Friday. These were gorgeous!
i love your pail!!
this post is yet to come for my blog. i have a stash on the shelf in my closet, am itching to put them together, but we have a small house and both bedrooms are consumed at naptime, when my wrapping itch occurs! now....to take care of a gift for my hubby, whose birthday falls on easter this year. hmmmm....

:)
Once again, I have to say your kids are SO lucky to have you for a mom. Great baskets and that card is the best! Hope you have a very Happy Easter, Lecia!
Cute cute - my son has the same Easter bucket! Love the letter attached!
It's stuff like this that makes me super excited to have kids of my own! Hunting for eggs just isn't the same when you're a grown-up outside by herself...but that doesn't stop me from stalking the pastel candy aisle at walgreens!
Cute, Cute, Cute Easter stuff. The card is hilarious. The farm animal chocolates are great! I'm doing mine last minute...Yikes. Hope I can find some cute things like those.
