We all love this pie; Cal had some on his birthday. (I found the recipe here if you're interested.)
We're spending time with Alexi's mother, and old friends, and out of town for a bit. Still feels like beautiful, endless summer here. Have a great weekend friends!
definitely would loooooooooooooove this pie. we all love coconut, and i'm pretty sure that this pie would be a hit. my mom makes a killer coconut cream pie, but since all my brothers and my dad love banana cream better, she hardly ever makes it. too bad! that means that i need to get on it and make one myself. yum, lecia! (lucky cal!)
My father is the piemaker in our home...and has been for the last 20 years.
I don't really like to bake pies, because I learned how to make them on a wood stove in an 1870's kitchen at the historic site I worked at when I was a teen....and nothing else will ever taste so good!
