So, August....hard to believe it's already here. We're back from Cannon Beach and had the most amazing time. My kids really know how to relax! We're basically unpacked, and the laundry is almost done; I can't bring myself to pour the sand out of my tote bag though. Aside from gritty lip gloss, I'm enjoying the reminder of our trip.
I'm always surprised by what I notice after being away - how big our house feels after staying in a hotel. The overwhelming scent of mint wafting into the house when the garden gets watered. Things like that.
We miraculously managed to be gone during a period of soaring temperatures in Seattle - what timing.
In the coming month we have two birthdays to celebrate (Abbott's birthday was yesterday but his party hasn't happened yet), grandparents and cousins visiting, more traveling...a very full and exciting month.

sounds like a great vacation. I have many many fond memories of canon beach and have stayed there on numerous occasions over the yrs. Brings back memories of a certain time and people in my life.
