Thank you all for your comments and emails this week. I'm likely to be remiss in responding over the next couple of weeks, as I've got family in town almost continuously until the end of the month. Our house is full of sleeping bags and air mattresses and cousins, and we are loving every minute of it.
Some of you expressed sadness at missing the ice cream social I posted about earlier this week, at not having heard about it. I get many of my 'announcements' about local events via twitter. I follow sources I'm interested in - neighborhood resources, businesses, news sources etc. You can look through my list of those I 'follow' for ideas if you're interested.

Have you read the children's book titled, "The Relatives Came" by Cynthia Rylant? It is a wonderful book...one of my favorites. If you haven't read it, you should pick it up when you get a chance. Sounds a lot like your house right now. Enjoy!
