I felt a little sad this week buying my first local peaches of the summer. They're my favorite summertime fruit, but remind me that we're in August with both feet.
This pasta dish is outstanding - light and surprisingly filling (via Shari).
We've been eating greens from the garden for weeks now; our first few sungold tomatoes are just about ripe.
And fruit is showing up in everything around here.
Who says you can't make a cherry pie with sweet cherries?
This version of fruit salad is probably the best fruit thing I've ever made. Seriously. (Think greek yogurt/limoncello/lemon curd.)
What's on your menu this week?

gosh now i am starving.
on my menu, raspberry jam tart, pasta with homemade pesto and fresh cherry tomatoes.
Trying to be sad with you but it is not working. I need to go get something delicious. Not that I am a fair weather friend but show me those photos and it is like a Pavlovian response...
plain yogurt (a few drops of vanilla mixed in) and fruit and granola, making it a perfect parfait!
i'd love to come to your house to feast on all those delicious foods!.....but i will be working...i have been eating blueberries in everything....and our tomatoes are doing wonderful...
xo
Oooh this all looks so delicious!
I know exactly how you feel about peaches. I feel the same way. I predict this week there will be oodles of them at the farmer's market. This week the menu is light since I'm finishing up the semester. I do plan on lots of easy local meals of veggies and fruit.
Just passing through ... you take gorgeous pictures! So vivid.
yeah, we're already in august... time pass by so fast!!
beautiful photos!!
Last night my husband made pesto with basil from our garden. Oh. My. Goodness. It was spectacular! I'll be trying that fruit salad soon. And I'm putting peaches on my list for the Farmer's Market this weekend. Peach season always seems to sneak up on me.
oh, august firmly with both feet it is. SIGH. wish i were eating at your house though. YUM!
such beautiful photos! Hard to believe it's August..I have literally been working everyday..even weekends..no time to do any summer activities... your blog is always so fun to visit, and see some "summer"!!!
Your food pictures are soooo inviting, all washed down with the minty iced tea.... We are also in August with both feet. School here starts on Aug 17!! and I am starting to see leaves turn....

It is a little scary to know we are into August already. Have a glass of ice tea for me. xoxo

Your pics look so tasty! No fresh peaches here in MN (waaah!), but I've been checking my tomatoes and they're still green...once they turn red (and yellow) we'll be having lots of pasta and salad with fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic.
you make food look amazing! i'm so glad i found your blog. what camera do you usually use? xo
Peach tea NEVER looked so good!
