We haven't left the neighborhood all week, and it has been heaven. There have been swim lessons and the final two baseball games of the summer, new books from the library. There has been work on the (birthday gift) Lego Star Wars Republic Gunship, puppet making thanks to my awesome Aunt, blackberry picking and jam making, and baking and playing and skating... and Cal has been saving the day all week. What would we do without him?
It's good to be back home.

home is a wonderful place...
Love it! Reminds me of The Wonder Years...the perfect childhood summer. You're kids have it GOOD.
i love that feeling, of staying, enjoying and appreciating the near and the familiar.
Please ask the boys to write about this summer, and then stow it away in a time capsule. Some things they will remember and some things not. My sons never believe some of the stories I tell them of years gone by. It is a good way to hang on to childhood.
Seems we are forced to grow up way too quickly.

It is so cute how Superman makes his way around the neighborhood.
Your boys make my kind of cake with a lot of frosting! Family and friends know that I like the small piece of cake with alot of frosting.
Have a golden weekend! xoxo
My youngest boy wore superman t-shirts for about 5 years. Because they are hard to find here, one year I had to make him one (didn't turn out too well, to be honest, but he didn't seem to notice).
I love your posts. They hit "home" everytime.
oh i do so love these pics!
I am with Joyce (above) I LOVE the frosting best!! Buttercream!! Wow Lecia what an action packed weekend. I do not know how you do it!! I think YOU need a Superwoman shirt!! Let the fun continue!! xoxo
Sometimes staying home is the remedy for things when there's nothing wrong :o)
