Yesterday we went to the zoo with Grandma. You may remember we recently tried to see the debut of the snow leopard cubs but left because of the line; we stayed for a long, long time today watching them play. We walked and walked until Cal's legs hurt, so then we had ice cream. All in all a great day. I am so not ready for summer to end.

Once again, your photos are stunning. I really would love to have a coffee table book with all your photos and then an ice cream cone just like Cal's and a day watching those snow leopard cubs would be nice too.

I took some of my students to the zoo this summer. Talk about a good time. And I saw tons of animals I had never seen before since they slowed me down and took me a different route!
Ahhhh... the cub in the first photo eyes looks so sad and in deep thought or did he spot Cal's ice cream cone? I bet the boys are having a wonderful time with grandma. xoxo

oh, lecia! me, either! coincidentally, today, a train ride with grandma and nonno. tomorrow the zoo.

is Cal starting kindergarten this year or are you waiting one more year? (i think i remember your saying he is starting a pre-K this year.)

I'm so not ready either! I think that the tallest ice cream cone I've ever seen. I'm glad they don't sell them over here: I can just imagine what they'd do to my kids' T-shirts!
PS in winter, our ice cream shops close: one other reason not to be ready for summer to end:)

Your animal pics are awesome! I think the lizard (it's a lizard, right?) may even be smiling for the camera.
Thank you friends! Francesca: I was shocked when I saw how big the cones were; my kids don't normally get that much sugar!! You should have seen how wide their eyes were when they got those cones.
C.E.R.: It's a komodo dragon; a type of lizard.
I'm glad you got to see the babies! AND, I'm glad I'm not the only one who takes so many animal pics at the zoo. (Surprised mine were so good this weekend...)
