ice cream social

I took these photos last weekend at an ice cream social we attended. What's interesting to me is how the light already looks different, a week farther into fall.

my neighbors used to do "Sundaes" on Sunday when my boys were little....I am thinking that I need to do that for my neighbors....with little ones.
Glad you had a nice b-day celebration!

Here's a winner for young and old alike! Ice Cream! With a super assortment of toppings. Once again, your photographs tell such a wonderful story.

Just the name alone "Ice Cream Social" makes me smile with delight. There's a nearby animal shelter that encourages people to adopt pets by inviting them to an ice cream social. The banner is so pretty and colorful.

For eating out of hand or great with ice cream: I read recently somewhere that there are coconut M&Ms!! Of course there are none to be found at my local supermarket :(

I was noticing the shadows yesterday, and how much longer they are already.

Reminds me of the ice cream socials I used to throw for the residents of the Girls Home I used to work for. It was a reward for their help processing the newsletters for the mail, and it was always fun!

Yum, ice cream! I think it's the best treat ever! It looks like your boys enjoyed their dessert.
