The first week of school went splendidly; Saturday morning Abbott was disappointed to hear he had to wait two whole days to go back. Cal in his quiet way is very excited about his school experience and has repeatedly requested that I ask him questions about it. I only wish the transition didn't feel so abrupt. Our weekend was in sharp contrast to summer life: two soccer games, hockey tryouts, a birthday party, dinner party and a class picnic. All quite enjoyable, but busy.September is at its absolute best right now - crisp mornings, hot afternoons. Our tomatoes continue to grow like mad and we're still wearing shorts; other signs make it clear these days are numbered.

Your tomato photo is fantastic!! I can't get over the color of the carton with the tomato red. I've seen tons of photos like this, but you got the colors spot on. Have you considered selling prints in an Etsy shop?
