Today is my birthday. Alexi has taken the day off; we plan to go on a bike ride together and have lunch out while the kids are at school. And of course we'll celebrate all together in the evening. I'm so looking forward to the next forty! I'm working on a list of goals for the year to come; what do you hope to accomplish in the next year of your life? xoxo

Happy Birthday! May you enjoy this day, and this year ahead, full of goodness. My hopes for the coming years are to see my children gain more independence and more confidence and find passion in their life. My sons are driving now and my daughter is in 5th grade. Letting go a bit gives me motivation and encouragement to delve deeper into my artwork - it feels good.

goals. gracious, do i have a heaping list this year. some having to do with outer life and some with my inner life. one little/big goal? to volunteer to help change the food in public schools here in nyc. my friend told me that, to make bbq sauce, they mix ketchup and jelly. we can do better, i thought, and so that's one of my goals for the year. to help do even a little bit better.
