I suspect that talk about autumn is boring by now, so I won't. Just take a look at the foliage at and around our neighborhood soccer fields yesterday afternoon.
My Grandmother was a painter; she painted still life and landscape. When I watch my boys with their incredible creative impulses, I feel her. If she had lived in Seattle I suspect she would have done a lot of painting in the fall.

What beautiful photo's. It's spring here in Australia and everything is green and floral. However Autumn is still my favourite season and it's lovely to see it through blogs on the other side of the Pacific Ocean.
beautiful.......
xo
You will love my post coming up -
Autumn for me is like a Crayola box---the reds, the yellow, the oranges and those coveted copper and golds too.
Enjoy Autumn and the memories of your Grandmother.

I knew that she would be around you. :)
There is nothing boring about your beautiful photos.
Just lovely.
I echo Kwana, your photos are never boring.
I love this time of year and all of the colors!
The photo with the acorns are neat. Did you know they can have worms inside? I didn't! LOL... I have 2 perfect shiny plump ones that were joined at the top at my bedside for weeks. One night I looked down wondering what is that little white thing... EEKS a wormie thing, not one two, that have made their way out of the the nuts!!! I have the nuts in a baggie because I'm not sure if there will be anymore visitors. LOL...
Enjoy my friend. xoxo
We don't have acorns up here. I enjoy hearing them clang and crash to the roofs and driveways whenever I am in NJ!! Acorn Bombs! The sky is falling!
Also our leaves are down. We have mulched them up and they are feeding our lawn now. It is getting chillier in Anchorage .... still no snow on the ground but I feel it in the chilly air.... xoxoxo
I just read Joyce's comment! Yikes!! Acorns are aircraft for worms! Oh my!!!!!!
these pics are great..... love the feel and especially the last one!
PS. got my print and love it! thanks again so much!
For a painter, fall colors are a great source of inspiration. Where did your grandmother find inspiration from?

Thank you so much everyone!
Francesca: my Grandmother painted images of Texas, where she lived, like cotton and windmills and wide open spaces....
I regret not taking my camera with me over the last few days. WE've had one of the most beautiful falls in years, although today's rain will probably put an end to it.
Talk about autumn never grows old--those pictures are just lovely!!
I love your photos - you are giving me a taste of Fall that is missing down here!
I don't think autumn ever gets old as a topic. It is hands down the best season. Great photos.
