Cal had his first hockey game of the season today. I was an incredibly proud mama and he had a great time. If you'd like to see a few photos, you can view my slideshow here. (I recommend viewing as a slideshow - the music adds a lot. You can identify Cal in the photos by the label on his helmet and the pink tape at the bottom of his stick.)

I absolutely LOVE the nametape on the helmet! I don't know why that struck me as being so incredibly sweet, but it sure did!

What a great and sweet hockey player he makes, and the first one I ever see!
Great slideshow! Cal looks so good out there on the ice. Glad they wear so much protection.
My sons are downhill skiers, and before each and every race, my head tilts back, looks up and knows they are in good hands. As a Mom, every age and sport has it's own challenges but the pride never stops.

What a cutie! Two of mine played hockey when they were young too; they had so much fun and it was a scream watching all those ankles nearly touching the ice when they skated around the rink. I am a hockey fan!
