Our first taste of persimmon - delicious with a surprise inside.

This boy enjoying
my new book.

Leaves everywhere are making it hard to get anywhere very quickly; beautiful and distracting.

This note by Abbott to a neighbor friend.
Any interesting finds lately?

Yes, many acorns which I am thinking just might mean that we are in for a ton of snow this Winter? I hate that it is getting darker earlier and earlier!!!

My Grandmother use to say "When the trees undress, we dress. And when the trees dress, we undress."
Right now the trees have begun to undress, and yesterday I wore my leather driving gloves in the morning.
Yes~ while cutting back all of the Hydrangeas on Sunday-there was a perfect little birds nest among them. Tiny, tiny feathers surrounding it. I've been wearing gloves every morning on my way to the gym. Have a nice autumn day.
Hi Lecia!
Thanks for posting the photo. I'll let you know when it arrives.
Love Abbott's note to his friend; always amazed at children's imagination and creativity.
No finds lately. We're going to our village at the weekend- hope we find autumn-related things.
the color of those persimmons. seriously gorgeous. i wish we lived on the west coast just for the persimmon trees. i can smell ripe ones just writing about them.
and, poor abbott. just getting into the check here notes and already with a no and no explanation. love his writing. so delish
Love the little pumpkin turtleneck! Have not found anything interesting lately, thom but the sun shines on over Anchorage! Hugs!
Correction: though the sun continues to shine over Anchorage!!
good finds all around, for sure.
A sweet note.
The book is a neat idea.
We rented The Proposal with Sandra Bullock. I laughed so hard my tummy hurt the following day!
Enjoy! xoxoxo
I can see why you would like that book...it's filled with photographs you could have taken! You are that good.
(I hope Abbott's hoky game did not turn out to be too hoky. So cute.)
That persimmon is gorgeous! Save those notes. xoh
these are wonderful finds! the 3191 book looks just amazing, i wish i had gotten in on their pre-order. and, yes, the leaves are SO distracting!
What a sweet note!
We have a persimmon tree at the end of our lane, and I've never cut the fruits horizontally!!! We usually sort of prop them open, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. All these years, we've missed that surprise!
Beautiful picture of the persimmon!
And I love that book :)
Hmmmm...interesting finds lately.... Well, I did find some extraordinarily beautiful pottery at the Access Arts festival on Saturday! (That's where G. takes her weaving classes.)
I've never tasted a persimmon - it's a beautiful fruit!
I've been finding drawings and writings from my little girl all around us lately...people and dinosaurs and trees and letters.
certainly a lovely surprise to find inside of an already exquisite looking fruit!
