the greatest compliment

Yesterday while buying a smoothie at Red Mango, the person helping me (who I see regularly) asked if I work downtown (where the store is). I told him I work at home taking care of my children; this 18 or 19 year old young man responded, "I wish my parents had taken care of me like that."

L~ I love your breakfast! Anything with capers! What a sweet comment from that young man.
I hope your Grandmother is improving~
Today I have grocery shopped, roasted veggies, cleaned a bathroom... and now I'm off to work on a painting.

Today, I am working on some artwork, made my dinner early, take my girl to the reading tutor, and then shop at Trader Joes...
My husband is in Paris, and I am planning on freshening up all the towels and new pillows too!
That is what I am up to!

I have cleaned the house, and spoke w/my car insurance Agent, which was a successful conversation, oddly enough! :)

I am glad you had a good start to your day. You have a most noble profession, and don't ever forget it.

That is a terrific compliment!
I just got back from a field trip to the orchard with my kindergartner, and I can look forward tonight to visiting the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition house that they're building in my neighborhood and helping to set up.

That comment would have made my day!! For me, personally, I love being able to be at home with my kids. Also, I love to watch Glee..the football episode from last week was so funny!!

Cleaning up the house today then off to root for my daughter at her high school volleyball game..Go Hawks!!

What a sweet/sad comment from the Red Mango staffer....

Today, so far I have had my teeth cleaned at my dentist's office where, to my utter shock, the entire front office staff was BRAND NEW, including the hygenist.

And then I took my 3 poodles to a new groomer... our current groomer has had to take a medical leave of absence and I am not sure when she will be back. xoxo

I'm having that breakfast for lunch!
My kids are grown up, but I still stay busy.
It being the morning after your posting I can say today I am going to an aerobics class, the grocery store, the cleaners and then will spend the remainder of the afternoon on the computer for my Garden Club. They have suckered me into doing their meeting postcards every month.
What a lovely compliment from the young man, but it nearly made me cry.

Oh, and P.S. That IS the greatest compliment. I'm a stay at home, work at home mom, and I always am quick to let people know that I WORK, too, but you know--that doesn't matter. The most important thing is my boys, and this post made me remember the pride in being a mom. :) xo

I'm blessed to have a whole lot of people in my life to support my efforts as a stay at home Mom!

I ADORE Glee! I don't get to watch it every week, but I think I'm going to start catching up with the free episodes on line. Of course, I am a musicals sort of girl, so it's right in with everything I love! (Which is part of my only complaint...Rachel is very much a jr. Idina Menzel, who is one of my favorite Broadway stars, and that is distracting sometimes!)
