We had a blissfully slow start to our morning, as the boys don't have school today. We were surprised to find these letters greeting us at the breakfast table.
Your breakfasts have been inspiring me this week, as I need to be a "better breakfast person." Usually it's just cereal and milk, coffee and toast. Boooorrrring! Perhaps that's why breakfast is my least favorite meal of the day...but I'm gonna work on changing that and start my (and my kids') day off better. Thanks for the inspiration!
How FORTUNATE your sons are to have such a caring Dad. He's sensitive to them, asks the questions, supports them in their interests. He sure LOVES them! This must sure put a smile on your face!!
How sweet of your husband to leave thoughtful notes to the boys. I'll bet they loved listening to every word if read aloud. They're a great addition to a memory book. Have a great weekend and thank you for sharing this post.
Heart-be-still. Your boys must have loved waking up to a sweet letter from Dad. They will become even more important when they read them in 15 years....
how wonderful these notes from papa are, lecia. they must have been beaming! such a wonderful post. thank you for sharing these letters with us.
when my husband travels (quite frequently these days), he leaves little love notes all over the apt. in places the kids will find throughout the day. one in a shoe, one in the play farmhouse, etc. my kids squeal with glee. you can see in their whole little bodies how loved they are.

Oh my. The sweetest things ever.
What a darling father! Give him an extra special hug.
Nothing I love better in the morning than oatmeal- the Irish make from scratch kind. Yum yum.
oh my. the fact that his writing looks incredibly like my own daddy's aside, may i just say
::sniff::sniff::
Those letters are wonderful! What a catch--keep him...and those letters!
Oh my, that's almost too sweet for words!
