My Grandmother, after suffering a stroke a couple of weeks ago, took a dramatic turn for the worse on Friday and is in her final days, perhaps hours. The weekend seemed a bit surreal, seeing the world continuing on with ordinary things like soccer, church and hockey games while she is dying. I am glad to say that she was able to make her own decisions until two weeks ago, and the last thing she did before slipping into a coma was watch a Texas Rangers game with my uncle. I have never met a more passionate sports fan. The only thing that would have been slightly better for her is if the Dallas Cowboys had played and won.

HOPE-LIFE-PEACE
Thinking of you at this difficult time.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother - thinking about you, and wishing you peace. Grief is a very surreal type of feeling/process, isn't it? Somehow the world keeps turning while you're standing still and wondering how on earth it's possible; I guess that's also what keeps us moving forward, even during the saddest and darkest of times, perhaps? Take care, and xo.
So sorry about your grandmother and just shows how one's life can change in an instant. Hugs are sent your way.... xoxo
Oh, I'm saddened by your news of your grandmother. I hope she is comfortable. You said, "The weekend seemed a bit surreal, seeing the world continuing on..." That is so true, and such a difficult place to be. Thinking of you.

My heartfelt sympathies to you and family for your Grandmother frail health. It's difficult to watch a loved one slip by, and yet the rest of the world marches on. It's difficult to understand.
Lecia~ Keeping your Grandmother and your whole family in my prayers. She sounds like a great woman and an important part of your life- Let your special memories hold you tight.

It is so tough, I want to be with you in mind, and in my heart.

I hope she feels no pain and that maybe you can still communicate with her, tell her how important she is to you and how much you love her.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers. My love to you all.
I know how it feels to try and go about ordinary life while waiting for news of something so final and sad. I think these are the times when mind and heart can really travel. Hugs, Lecia.

I too am saddened to hear about your Grandmother.
She must be so proud of you. Did she instill the love of a good breakfast like that? Looks like one of Champions. I love that she loved sports!

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. My thoughts will be with you. Take care of yourself.
Lecia, your Aunt Linda had told me about your blog and I happened to stop by today. I live in Tipton, OK where your Grandmother Lorene lived many years. We went to church with her. You're all in our prayers. A few weeks ago Lorene asked Linda to ask me how the Tipton Tigers football team did that Friday night! I'll always remember her love for sports and the color purple!
I am sorry to hear about your grandmother. Now you have your own personal guardian angel. Oh, and I am coming to your house for breakfast. Yummy!
