I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Yesterday the boys played in our neighborhood World Cup (really), so now we're down to one sport (hockey), and very happy about that.

Your pine cone picture just became my new desktop background....love it! And yes, the holidays are fast approaching - which is just incredible to me. Didn't school just start???

Happy happy day to you and yours!

Beautiful pics. Now I'd like a nice pot of tea.

Our weekend was peaceful and also the end of our snow-free Anchorage. The dogs and I took our last big walk unfettered by snow on Sunday afternoon. During the night about 3" of snow fell and it is here to stay! xoxoxo

Ooh, thanks Lecia. And I want to say, as a fellow Southerner, hurray for cornbread dressing! This is a must-have for Thanksgiving, more even than turkey for us. (We have ham too and people like that better, almost.) I still remember the pan that my grandma made her dressing in, and now my mom has it. Mine is not as good as theirs, but maybe someday.

And the squash salad sounds great.

That pot of tea looks so wonderful and warm! I'm thinking ahead to the holidays and am hosting Thanksgiving so I'll be checking out those links.

I had a minor kiniption (sp? it's one of my failings) fit the other day when we drove by a local business and saw their Christmas lights up already. Wow.
