Inspired by
Shari, I've taken a look through my archives to reflect on the past year via images; an incredibly fun and positive experience.
January

This was taken on the last day of January. We ate dinner outside (quickly and bundled up) to take in every last bit of that beautiful day.
A secret club.

I love this photo because it reminds me of the many trips Cal and I made to a favorite coffee shop after taking Abbott to school, before Cal's preschool started.

A special Valentine's Day meal at

A
visit to see my Grandmothers; good for so many reasons.

Soda bread on St. Patrick's day.

In like a lion, out like a lamb.

April

Alexi and I made a visit to the
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival alone; it was the first time in a long time we'd spent the whole day alone together.
Bench Monday from the beach across the street from our house. Downtown Seattle is in the background.

June

My first experience making jam. The
whole family was involved. The boys still talk about it as they eat the jam on their sandwiches every day.

Look how sunned and freckly I am.

What's not to love about June?

At a Seattle Sounders game.
Tomorrow, July - December.

Your photos speak a thousand words. They are poetry. I am looking forward to the next set. :)
Your photos are so beautiful and moving...
Longing to see the second part of the year!!
BTW, which Canon camera do you use?
Lecia, these pictures remind me of how it's all the little things that make life so special. They are really wonderful and I really admire how you make daily life so lovely for your family.
Lecia, what a beautiful and interesting photographic retrospective! I didn't know you the first part of the year, and most of these photos are new to me. You captured some great moments of your life (that door, with all the love and family history it embodies), your family life (I love Cal staring at the cafe window - he's always so expressive), and your country. What a nice way to end a year.
perfect why to remember the year I love it.
I started to pick my favorites and realize all of them are! Lecia- is the door frame from your grandmother's home? I love it. This would be so cool to actually safe this piece of the door frame and frame it into art. Enjoy! xo
These are so terrific!
Great pictures! Wishing you all the best to come in 2010!
Oh how I love the seasons. There are so many wonderful things about each one! Beautiful pictures.
