at home

This week between holidays with the boys happily occupied with new Legos, books, kittens and the like and full-up with love from having had the undivided attention of both parents for the past week is one to look forward to; a week of relative rest and quiet at home. This time has historically been for me a nice pause for reflection on the holidays and the year that has been. There is always so much that could/should be done and yet the most important thing to do this week is to be in the moment; be present for the playing, reading, and lounging together this week has to offer.

I hope you're continuing to enjoy this holiday season, and some rest at home too.

I completely agree with resting up. I reflect, however, I don't let myself become hard on myself. There's always a time to improve something, but most importantly (I think) is to live in the moment.

I find this time of year also a nice pause, and I don't have any plans or expectations other than being with my family! I love your cream colored kitty.

for me, as well. it is this week (this year) that the kids get both of us, which is lovely and keeps the christmas let down from stinging.
i hope this week is lovely at for you as well!

I so wish we had a quiet week too! Instead, my in-laws are going to be in town, and so we'll have a happy, but very busy, week with the 'cousins.'
