One of our family's holiday traditions is visiting the Seattle Sheraton's Gingerbread Village. This display is created by local architectural firms and the Sheraton's chefs; proceeds benefit the Northwest Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The theme for this year's village is "A Christmas Story".
"A Charlie Brown Christmas" was Cal and Abbott's favorite.
I'm in awe: I once bought Ikea's gingerbread house mixture, and we barely managed to make the four walls stand up! The roof got eaten by a hungry little boy before it could even be put in place. PS word verification "pigs" - what do you make of that?

The "Christmas Story" display is amazing. I've seen things like this--but these are some of the most creative I've EVER seen. Wow!!!!!

What beautiful gingerbread designs. It always amazes me how creative people can be with gingerbread and a few candies.

Anything Tim Burton or Muppet themed is a-ok with me. Especially if it involves sugar...
