perfect

How was your weekend? The highlight of ours was getting our tree decorated. Alexi, Abbott and Cal wrestled with many strings of lights while I went running, then the boys and I decorated. (Who strings the lights in your house?) Our tree is always a hodgepodge of ornaments from my childhood, those we've picked up on our travels, ones the boys have made and those we've given Abbott and Cal for their collections. I only did a tiny bit of rearranging after they went to bed; so far they don't appear to have noticed. Our house smells wonderful and seems so full of warmth and light with the tree in place.

Happy Monday!

(I made this when I was 7 or 8)

What a beautiful corner for your tree, Lecia, with all the lights reflecting in the windows. I really like it how your tree displays your history in a way.

Your tree is just wonderful!
Growing up my dad always put the lights on the tree, and then we all decorated it as a family.
Now I am the light person, and then the kids and my husband help to put on the ornaments.

Beautiful! This year hubby went out and picked up our tree, and the kids and I did the decorating - our house is all festive and ready for celebrating, yay!

you have such a beautiful home and sense of style! ditto for our ornament collection! i string the lights. we flop back and forth each year between colored and white. this year, i wanted white, but we didn't have enough, so colored it was. last year it was all about colored lights for me!

Such a beautiful tree, Lecia! I spent this weekend doing the same thing. Now I can sit at night and watch the lights in peace...there won't be much peace when the troops arrive!

Unfortunately I don't think we will be getting a tree this year. I have an artifical one that I put up but we also usually get a real one too. After visiting my grandpa in the hospital this weekend a Christmas tree didn't really seem that important.

We had a slippery and perilous drive home, so we postponed putting up our tree but we hope to this evening! Love your tree and your hand-made ornaments.

It sounds like your hodge podge of ornaments is near identicle to ours!

Your tree is absolutely gorgous...and looks like it belongs to a family, which is just as it should be.
