Have I mentioned before how much I love paperwhites (except for their smell)? We gave a paperwhite bulb in a little glass as a favor at our wedding, to bloom in time for the holidays (our anniversary is October 28).Today I'll be going to my friend Dana's house to bake these and other cookies. We get together every year at her house and spend a day baking; we've done so since before either of us had children. What are you up to today?

Baking with a friend- those are wonderful holiday memories. Paperwhites- we love them and the scent. We have pots of them all over our home-right through the holidays. My husband buys loads of them and does progressive plantings.
I'm going to the gym and then will have a paint brush in hand all day.

There is a snow storm coming in and I think it will be the perfect evening to do my Christmas cards with a cup of cocoa. My mom, sister and I get together every year and bake dozens of Christmas cookies that we make baskets for our friends.

Oh... I'd love to spend the day baking with a friend! My day is almost over and I spent it in the office! But I will cook something good for dinner tonight. Haven't made up my mind yet ;)
I like paperwhites too, but they make my nose run! Orange Biscotti yum!

beautiful. i love what nature can still be inside when it is cold, wet, snowy, icy outside.
we woke up to ice all over everything and i was on (unusual) drop off this morning, so in the rush, never got any photos.
really want to know? dr. visit for my lyme and staph today and i am excited...i don't have to take the kids with me. woo hoo!

Let's see...this morning I went to the gym for a workout with my trainer - a very good thing because I really needed a pep talk and a healthy dose of support as we head into a traditionally tough time of year for me.
This evening, I then had the great pleasure of going to my monthly knitting 'study group' through the guild. I LOVE this group, and it's the one thing every month that I make sure I don't miss. We had a lovely evening of knitting and visitin...and a whole lot of talk about spinning tonight!
I'm a bit envious of your baking. That's one thing I'm giving up this year in order to make my healthier lifestyle easier. Perhaps next year after I've hit my goals and have maintained for a while...
Ha - I was gonna say - these photos make me want to love paperwhites - though I too dislike the smell!
