thursday

Hello! After waking up to a thick fog yesterday, the sun came out and I left the house in a too-thin coat. January is still cold, even on a gloriously sunny day.

I just saw someone mention their 'cookie of the week'. Doesn't that sound divine? I think the Phinney family needs to start having a cookie of the week.

Today is my day to be in the school library in the morning and spend the afternoon running errands. My weeks have felt so much better since I've consolidated the majority of my to-do list outside the house to one day.

What are you up to today?

feeling nostalgic. because the seasons here in the middle east confuses my sense of memory. we are having cold, but sunny days too.

i think a cookie of the week is a great idea :)

Today.....I would love to follow those balloons...aimlessly. Alas, I have work and a child to shuttle to an after school tutor and then home to meet the Architect and review the plans.
All good. January love to you.

Was scrolling down to catch any of your lovely photos I missed and noticed you mentioned Abbott collecting sea glass. Did you ever read an utterly charming book by Barbara Hurd called Walking the Wrack Line? She has a chapter entitled Lime Sea Glass. Your comment made me want to reread this slim, delightful volume. Please order it for yourself, you will be enchanted.

And today's post? Did I see some Valentine candy hearts tucked in that bag? Love your red balloon photo...

Just a nice hot shower, then off to work soon. Typical day for me. Later, walking the dogs, and trying to figure out a way to freshen up Halle (the standard poodle) She does not need a full on bath but she needs a bit of a cleanup... xoxo

cookie of the week sounds divine. we are changing our eating a little bit, but i can't give up certain things, sugar and all.
today, i am enjoying the company of our toddler friend lily, who plays with my finnian once a week here and once a week at lily's house, which gives each mamma a bit of a break and a bit of two-toddler time. :)

Today the day's the farmers' market at our local hydroponic grower is open, so I brought home some wonderfully fresh and delicious lettuce as well as peppers, herbs, sourdough bread and, unexpectedly, some Honeycrisp apples -- my favorite!
