Hello there! What are you up to this weekend? Alexi's on call (working) all weekend; the boys and I are making our valentines, and planning to bake a batch of cookies. If we're really ambitious, we might also attempt this paper heart garland (via Deidra). There are so many great ideas out there for a handmade valentine's day.

We bought our Valentine's materials today. It's been a favorite of Gillian's since she was 2...a day infamous as she went through $50 in art supplies and spent literally 7 hours making Valentines. You should have seen them lined up around the house!

I remember with such delight- my Dad being on call for a weekend. Every once in a while if he got called-in, he would let me come along. I'd spend all this time in the X-ray department...looking at a skeleton-and wanting so badly to help in some small way. Those are very fond memories for me- and very different times. Have a nice rest of the weekend.
New banner! We don't do valentines, it's one of those celebrations that caught on here when I was too old to grow attached to it. Happy baking!
