Are you getting the sense we loved our time at Whistler? We've taken the boys cross country skiing before but never down hill, so we enrolled them in ski school for a day (top photo shows the meeting spot for ski school; our hotel is in the background). Cal decided he liked skiing better than hockey, as he can go much faster. Alexi and I enjoyed the time alone.
looks like they took to it right away....i was on skis for the first time when i was 3! and used to teach...young ones always picked it up so quick! such a fun family activity....my father and i still ski together and always a favorite time with him! xo
Glorious! Looks like an early meet-up time! The hotel and area reminds me of my trip to Banff when we stayed at the unbelieveably fabulous Fairmont (which is surprisingly pet friendly, we had Ginger with us). Oh I am still not over it so I understand your completely! xoxo
they are so cute! i love kids on skis. they are like rubber. look at his smile!
isabella did her first lessons downhill last year and didn't want to, but enjoyed the thrill of it, but not the effort of it. (all that bulky gear.) we are going again in a week and a half and i wonder how she will do. a week ago, though, she begged to try cross country and she loved it. great for us, as we can go too, not worry about finn (we have a pulk - a sled for pulling children/gear), and it is far cheaper than downhill. nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com
As someone who likes to putz down green slopes at a snails pace...back in the days when we used to go to Copper Mountain, I often had the pleasure of helping the little bitties on the ski lift over on the baby slope. So cute!

It seems like you had the most spectacular time. So glad the boys had the opportunity to try skiing. You and your husband are really great parents.
I love the shot of the skis. :o)

mmm. sounds perfect all around. my daughter has been asking about going skiing lately.
and look at that big smile in the last picture. love that!
Well, OK. I'm not going to tell you what happened to my 7 year old back in the learning days.
I have loved all your Whistler reportage! Much better than relying on NBC.
