I took a walk yesterday in lieu of my usual morning run. Thursdays I spend the morning volunteering in the school library, so I don't have time to go home, run and shower before school gets out. A walk, however, often fits in nicely. I'm always surprised at the things I notice with a change of pace. I remember enjoying this during both my pregnancies, when walking was all I did after a certain point. It seemed intuitive and right to slow down and listen more closely inwardly as well as to my outside surroundings.
On my mind today:
Check out this fun list of
springtime finds (I contributed a wishlist item).
Best idea ever.Happy Friday! xoxo

Wow you are right that video freaked me out. Have a wonderful weekend.
I love the pace of a walk too and all you get to see. It makes my mind slow down, especially after a day whizzing around at work and on the internet.
Have a great weekend!
Off to watch that video now...
My sons say that video is not true - and after all they are 17 now...! A walk is wonderful...I would love to run, but I had a bad spill skiing and hurt my calf and walking is just now on my agenda, I did try to play tennis, very poorly, not being able to run like me.
Walking will have to do. Patience is a virtue.

It's true, that video is a hoax. Here's a CNN story about how and why they did it: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/tech/2008/07/09/carroll.cellphone.popcorn.cnn
I am going to check out the hoax story because I was in awe of the popcorn popping cell phones!!! xoxo
Wow that's a really high res picture, what kind of camera do you use?
Rats - I love the idea of cell phones popping corn. Oh well...thanks for letting me know. I removed the link to avoid misinforming anyone else.
One of the things that I really wish I could change about where we live is that I wish we had a safe way to walk/bike out of our neighborhood and/or easy access to local trails. It would make life a whole lot nicer!
