We've had dessert outside almost every night this week; I'm hoping soon we'll be able to enjoy more full meals outdoors. We were freezing as we ate these ice cream sandwiches, but as you can see it was still really fun.As a child I attended a public school in Alaska and we always had Good Friday off. Looking back on that it shocks me a bit. My boys don't have school today but not because of Good Friday - it happens to be a conference day. We're going to be busy shopping and cleaning and getting ready for Easter. How about you - what are you up to today?

Today it's laundry and teen drama. Trying to keep my mind of the goodness of the day. These pics make me smile.
That is too funny. Where did you go to school. I went to Bartlett in Anchorage.
In Canada we get Good Friday off (a federal holiday and all schools). Almost all stores and malls were closed today too! It was nice to have hubby home.

We don't get good friday off, but the monday after easter day is a national holiday (literally "little easter day").
