my husband's wisdom

This morning at breakfast Alexi and I were discussing a recent difficult interpersonal interaction. He turned to the boys and said, "Some people generate more heat than light...do your best to generate more light than heat."

such a true story... heat and light can generate from the same place but have very different outcomes... sounds like a very smart man and some lucky little boys!

That's really awesome. I think it must make a lot of sense to a young person too. Thanks for sharing.

Alexi is brilliant. I am going to make this my teaching theme for the yoga class I teach today. Thank you for that pearl!

That is a good one. Light is better than heat. I have had too much of the latter recently! Sick of it. xoxo

Wow- brilliant! Alexi sounds like a little yogi. As a mom moments like that must blow you away.

OK- I get it. Alexi is your husband, not one of those adorable boys. He is still brilliant and the boys are lucky!

I'll be writing this quote on the family blackboard tomorrow a.m. - it's lovely, and so true. (Also something I need to keep in mind, as I've been feeling "ungrounded" and emotional lately - ugh!)
