Last night I had the great pleasure of meeting Kristin von Ogtrop, editor of
Real Simple, one of my favorite magazines. She's in Seattle promoting her new book,
Just Let Me Lie Down. It was really great talking face to face with someone whose editorial I've been reading every month for years now (she admired my hair! and
my coat!). She's just like I thought she would be - warm and smart and down to earth. I took away a lot I know I'll be thinking about for some time to come; her thoughts on balance and marriage and happiness really resonated with me (you'll have to read the book!). She identifies universal truths about the joy and chaos that come with doing what you love and having many different things in your life you love, irregardless of whether you earn a paycheck or not doing them. I laugh so hard I cry every time I pick up her book and I kind of don't want to finish it, as I don't want it to end.

How wonderful. I just love that feeling.
I always enjoy Real Simple magazine. And your coat and hair are indeed so pretty! In fact your hairstyle is very attractive and easy to maintain. I know, mine was cut that way for a long time... Am in a grow out process. Don't know how long that will last. xoxo
