One of the boys came to our bed last night because of a bad dream; he ended up having an accident so I was changing our sheets at 1am. And wow do I feel it today. However did I live with sleep deprivation for years on end (our sleep troubles lasted well beyond infancy)?
Yesterday I made lemon poppyseed olive oil cakes - my first gluten free baking! - and they were enjoyed by all.
I'm taking in our car to get serviced today, so I don't know if I'll get more done than exercise and take a few pictures. Between you and me that's all I ever want to do while the boys are at school. Too bad there is so much more to do to keep a household functioning.
Missed Connections is wonderful (via Molly).
Happy Friday!

who was behind the camera? really lovely shots!
xoxo
just checked out missed connections...wow, really wonderful idea and illustrations....
I don't know if I'm going to missed connections or making those cakes first! Last night I got my hair cut shorter--my hairdresser/friend told me I should and I do love it...now it's your length!
Your hair is very pretty! Have a wonderful weekend w/your family.
My hairdresser said the same thing a couple years ago: let it all grow out to the same length. (I'd always had short, wavy hair) I left it that way for about a year (the drawing on my webpage is as long as it got) and a couple months ago, I had her shorten it an inch because I wanted a change and the hair in my face was driving me crazy. I ended up using barrettes half the time. Besides, I think longer was too severe for someone my age. It's now off my face and I tuck the length behind my ears.
But you are young and have a beautiful color...it looks lovely the way it is.
Have a lovely weekend, Lecia!
LOVE your hair! Style, length and superb cut! Very chic! I love car service days.... they give me a brand new Mercedes to swan around in while they attend to whatever is bothering my car.
I am going to check out your recipe and the link to Molly's blog. Thanks for allowing us to comment on today's Friday post. Have a great weekend, dear. xoxo
Well if I had as much hair as you do, I would let it grow, too! I still miss having my super-long hair, but unfortunately it thined out after college and it will never be the same again.
Your hair is great like this Lecia, and these portraits are really lovely.
I make some lemon & poppy seed scones (half rice flour and half wheat) that I really like, I'll check out the gluten free cakes!
Your hair is fantastic, and I can't wait to try these cakes. It is too bad that stuff can't just get magically done. I am also feeling sleep deprived. One of my boys woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep until way after midnight.
I like your hair the length it is. Hope you all have a great weekend.
Thanks about my hair!
kks: Alexi took this set - I wanted a new profile picture.
Ina: sounds as if I should leave them open on Fridays? :)
likeschocolate: I hope you get some rest soon. xo
Jessica: I'd love to see a picture of your new do.
Happy
Friday!
I love it long like that, and the color is gorgeous!

Hugs, Nicola
Hi! It's my first time visiting your blog, and I just had an Oh me too! moment. So I had to say hi :) We had 2 little girls up at 4am last night, and it affects me too, not sure how we survived on no sleep! Also, my littlest ( 2.5 )has a gluten intolerance, so I'm always curious about good recipes!
So nice to meet you! xx
