I am kind of a wreck - I really hate goodbyes (goodbye to this school year and the teachers we've had this year). It has been an extraordinary school year. I feel like I've written about it ad nauseum over the past month, so I'll leave it at that. Next week we'll talk about summer; for now I'm wishing you a happy start to your weekend. xo

Flowers are amazing!!!!!!!You have made my day :)
Lovely photo of the flowers, Lecia.
Are the boys moving to a new school next year? Is that why you are so sad?
Luckily, my kids saw their school friends over the summer, although they often chose to go to day camp.
Lecia, our last day was Wednesday (no idea why mid week) and I don't know who was more upset, Lala or me. I do know...it was me. This year was a huge year for us. The first for our first and there were sooooo many changes.
I will zip it, but just know I understand!
Let the summer begin!
Nicola
Barbara asked a good question. Hope you have a relaxing weekend, and enjoy that change of pace.
Lovely flowers and I just read over this week's posts. Love all the sea glass and that heart shaped seashell..
Just take a deep breath and go with the flow... I need to take my own advice too. Gearing up for my Saturday garage sale and Joan's 2 day garage sale. She is getting rid of lots and lots!! I hope to get some good pictures. Meanwhile our son in law Jimmy has removed our front deck singlehandedly and will make repairs to the front of the house. The wood had rotted. I believe we will not replace our front deck but will cosmetically "clean up" the area, block off the portion of the existing deck and add window boxes under the front windows.... at least that is what I am thinking at the moment... xoxoxo
Please tell me you are putting that picture in your shop. It's gorgeous!
The end of the school year is always rough...but remember, next year will be wonderful too!
Barbara: we'll be at the same school next year. I'm sad about saying goodbye to the teachers we've had, particularly Abbott's. She's the best teacher we've ever had.
It's sad letting go of good things and saying goodbye; I always feel a lump in my throat but I hope you can enjoy the sunshine filled days and long summer evenings with your family. I'm so glad you finally took a picture of these flowers - beautiful.
Lecia, I feel you! On Audrey's last day of school, we both cried a lot! The ceremonies that were arranged at the school for the end of the year were so moving and lovely. It was truly a three-hanky experience.
The transition from school to summer was tricky for us (and by "us" I mean me) as well. Also, planning a summer full of fun and meaningful experiences really stressed me out. I'm trying to go with the flow and appreciate the pace of summer.
Gorgeous photo Lecia!
What a blessing to have a school to be sad to leave. That tells me they had a good experience.
Those flowers are beautiful.
Ah, I bet your boys are looking forward to summer! Even if they will miss their school friends.
*hugs*
beautiful photo lecia! Happy Summer to you all! I am sure you will have wonderful posts to document all the fun you guys are going to have!
Happy Weekend!
Great photo! Have a lovely summer. It's so good to look back and think it was a great year.
PS. Just watched the video from Abbott's class. Goodness, those photos are so powerful!
