extraordinary

Sometimes sharing an everyday experience can elevate it to the extraordinary. Alexi's mother is in town and joined us tonight on our after dinner walk. The moon seemed so surprising, the air so salty, the light so distinctly late summer and the chill unavoidably noticeable. We could have watched them skip rocks for hours.

Where oh where did the summer go? Our morning air is very crisp and chilly... welcome to Alexi;s mom. xoxo

A couple of nights ago, when I got home from work, I could see the moon from the kitchen windowsill, it was so low in the sky and fell between the houses behind mine, and was bright yellow, rather than the usual crisp white. I just sat on the floor in the doorway staring up at it.

Wow Lecia, that last pic really makes me think of fall somehow. It seems like only a few weeks ago that it was finally summery-feeling out there!
