Exactly nine days ago, Abbott started reading the Harry Potter book series. He is now three hundred and something pages into the fourth book. I'm kind of blown away. This morning we couldn't find book four -- crisis! -- thankfully, a neighbor loaned us the book, before the library and book stores were open. Alexi and I read the series aloud together as each book came out (he read, I listened). One night our reading ended around 4am because we just couldn't stop, so I get what's going on with Abbott. (I don't allow books at the table; somehow Harry Potter just keeps appearing.)

Happy Thursday!

Wow! Abbott is a faster reader than I am! And I'm 30!
But having read the whole Harry Potter series, I totally get it. Good reads for sure.

The same exactly happened with Solal this year !
He read the 7 books in less than 2 months, and it was during school time ;)

I love the last photo with the book on the table!

I have lost our "Prisoner of Azkaban" I know it's in the house, but I don't know which box it's in. I want to start reading these with my kids, but I probably should wait until we have all of them in one place again. It's kind of freaking me out, not having that one with its friends.

harry potter definitely has a way of seeping into every area of life. they are so well written and i do love kids do too. as a matter of fact they were talking about rereading the series before deathly hallows makes it to the theater. the audio books (read by jim dale) are awesome too.

My 7 year old just got obsessed with the Harry Potter series, too. He's on book 3. It's become even more pervasive with the Harry Potter Legos and the new Harry Potter Lego Wii game. But it's good stuff, for sure. Now all the boys' imaginative play usually includes one of them shouting, "Wingardia... LEVIOSA!"
