All day yesterday I felt a bit out of sorts, primarily as a result of trying to be present with my family yet attend to many mundane tasks that needed my attention too.The day ended with a tiny moment, one of those that makes you think, "this is what all the parenting work I've done up to this point is all about."

It occured to me today that your pictures are so appealing because of the quietness inherent in the images. It's very peaceful!
As per the fish - we do have all of the equipment already...it's just been put away for about two years as our last attempt was rather disasterous. (Kids were too young...and I didn't have time!) Honestly, I didn't at all think they would follow through with the clean rooms, or I never would have used that particular carrot! Gillian's room has always been a disaster of epic preportions...but apparently I just hadn't figured out the right incentive for her. Fish will be annoying...but the girls deserve them!
