Yesterday, the fog was so thick in the morning I couldn't see my neighbor's house.
A restless night of sleep made for a tired day.
I got a parking ticket while I was at an appointment with an allergist.
Our piano teacher was grouchy.
At the grocery store I thought to myself, 'I can't wait to shop alone again.'
We went to bed with a cluttered house.

And yesterday was sunny and sparkling after the fog lifted mid-morning.
We enjoyed a few stolen minutes with Alexi when we took him a latte after seeing the allergist.
We learned to to play new songs on the piano.
Saw a friend at the grocery store.
The afternoon included some time for rest.
I made a fantastic salad I'm still daydreaming about.
Sat outside until dark.

Thanks for reminding me to look on the bright side!

I absolutely love this post! Reminds me a bit of my 101 things lists - which are almost always started in response to what I feel is a bad day, but which turns out to be pretty good when I look at the list.

It is interesting how we look at things can really change the attitude of our day. I hear you though. I love my childen, but will be so happy when I can get in and out of the store easily. Happy weekend.

I love this poetic style of yours. The way you arrange your wording and returns makes your sentences more meaningful - which really is the intensity of poetry vs prose. Beautiful.
PS I hope the allergist had some answers.

It is all a matter of perspective, isn't it? Gorgeous hydrangeas. I want some in my garden!

Isn't something how a day can hold so many opposite things.
