Up early, made breakfast for Alexi before he had to go in to work (he's on call for the weekend). From where I sit I can just see the edge of the sunrise. It's cloudy, but only in patches. The house is quiet and there's no need to do anything for at least the next hour.I'm re-reading To Kill a Mockingbird in honor of its fiftieth anniversary - are you? Think I'll read for a while as I sip my coffee, then make a second round of breakfast for the boys before hockey. Later today, we're attending our first dog birthday party :)

I haven't read To Kill a Mockingbird in about a hundred years. I didn't realize it was its 50th anniversary. I think I'll head over to Amazon and order a copy now. I loved that book.

I have *never* read to kill a mockingbird, it is on my list of things to read, but right now, I have to read the pile of 30 unread books I have already !
I don't think I've read that book since jr. high...and sadly I've never seen the movie! I think perhaps you are right and it's time to pull it back off the shelf.
