top-notch

(photos from a meal last weekend at the Boat Street Cafe)

This morning I looked out the window and noticed a flock of geese flying in formation; migrating? I guess it's that time. Most definitely a fall weekend here in terms of the pace as much as anything, and I'm ok with that. Soccer games, hockey tryouts, Sunday School starting up again, a class picnic...

Wishing you a top-notch weekend, whatever your plans may be. xoxo

I'm trying this crazy new thing called "I'm no longer going to worry about what I eat" and my goodness that menu looks fantastic! And the location. Sometimes the environment makes the meal.

I love the photo in your new banner. I think he's looking out in the valley with anticipation. I also love the restaurants in your photos, so simple and stylish, I must explore your city one day.

Anything with huckleberries in it is top notch.
We used to gather them in northern Michigan and my mother made THE best pies with them. They do taste different than blueberries.
I hope the boys continue to have a successful and happy school year, Lecia.

I just happened upon your blog. I went to Boat Street Cafe on Thursday night for the first time (even though I live 8 minutes away)and it was so lovely! The best? Dark chocolate Pot De Creme. It's a must have. The cobbler was good too. Actually (I went with a group of friends) the rice pudding was pretty yummy as well...
