brought to you by the color red

Alright, maybe just a splash of red. Continuing on with autumn colors week; you guessed it, today is red. Alexi and I had a lunch date yesterday at Le Pichet and I had the most amazing soup. Tomato with roasted peach, and corn, and shrimp. We had a disagreement shortly before going to lunch. Sitting down and facing each other with nothing to do but talk was a great tension breaker. I felt myself relax as we discussed the food, and the day, and the little particulars about the week that add up to our life. By the time we left the restaurant my heart was light.

I've got lots of great brown (really!) in store for you tomorrow.

Until then. xoxo

It was a mistake to look at these photos just now as I'm starving. Those fries and ketchup seem so tempting. The colour theme is a nice idea, I must try it.

Sharing food and time together can really work wonders, that's the best kind of food.

Thank you Vanessa.

Francesca: adds a whole dimension to the notion of breaking bread together, doesn't it?

I have this secret crush on all tomato soups. Wish I had the opportunity to sample this creation. It's true that lunch with friends is good for the soul + adding a little tomato's good for the rest of you, too.

I love that your week in color has been a bit more muted...and not the traditional bold splashes that I usually see from artists doing this type of experiment.
