love, Santa

Dear Abbott & Cal,

Thank you for the yummy cookies, and milk! The reindeer loved the carrots and reindeer corn – a great ‘pick-me-up’ towards the end of our travels! I enjoyed reading your questions. To wit: I keep track of the presents by memory – I have an excellent memory.

Yes, I get presents from the elves and Mrs. Claus. I love your reindeer!

I would guess there are 1 billion elves. My sleigh is guided by reindeer and powered by the spirit of Christmas. The elves and I make about 11,000 presents per day!

All my love,

P.S. One of the Nerf guns is for your dad, so he can play with you.

What a fun correspondance! You would love J.R.R. Tolkien's book of letters that he wrote to his children from 'Father Christmas.' Intricate drawings and very adventurous tales from the North Pole. :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Lecia!

Dear Lecia,
Thank you for sharing these special family moments. They bring back so many happy memories for me. I know that one day you will look back and be glad that you captured the life of your family in such minute detail because time passes and memories are fragile.

I laughed a bit when I saw that Santa had indeed delivered some nerf guns! Very smart of him to leave one for Dad, too.

By the way - LOVE that sweater in the first picture. Yes, I would notice something like that!
