Tonight at book club we had flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I always forget how much I love chocolate, as we hardly ever have it at home (Cal hates it). I started attending this book club when I was pregnant with Cal. The group has been meeting for more than half my life and has shared a lot of life together, amidst the big ideas and good food.

Delicious! What did you read? And what are you drinking? It looks so pretty.
We read Breakfast at Tiffany's! I thought it was a great read. And I don't know exactly what the drink was, but it was fruity and delicious!
Oh that chocolate cake and with raspeberries too - where did you find the recipe? It must be hard going without chocolate, no? I absolutely love but know it's not practical to prepare things not everyone likes. I'd love to get a book club together and should try to arrange something.
That is one of my favorite cakes. I liked that book too! I just finished reading Half Broken Horses by Janette Wells, such a good book!
I hate chocolate too, but I'd love to be in a book club! The stem glasses with candles in look wonderful.
As you enjoy Liivia's blog, I've been meaning to leave a link to another great finnish blog, which you may already know about:

Ciao!
Beautiful!
I am thoroughly enjoying my book club.
I have only been a member for 2 books, but I love having someone with whom to discuss what I read.
That cake doesn't look too shabby either :)
Oh yum. I don't belong to a book club, but I know many who love it simply for the connections and social aspects.

What a nice group. Lucky you. And such a beautiful ending to your night, so elegant.
I think Cal and I need to become best friends...because my life would be easier right now if I didn't love chocolate so much!
BY and by, I envy your book group a bit. I've been thinking lately about the fact that perhaps I need one too.
That puts my lemon tarts to shame! {what we ate at our book club meeting on Tuesday night} We read Water for Elephants. Loved it. Our club has only been meeting since July...
your book club knows how to entertain !
i've never heard of any book club locally here. what does it consist in ? do you all have the same book list and then discuss the books ?
i'm with Cal for chocolate cakes (i bake them for family & guests but don't eat them) but i love chocolate (candies, bars, hot cocoa...)
Such beautiful colors and warmth in these photos. And a book club to celebrate in this way has to be a great one!
